3 stunning villas
on the beach front at Black Rock, Tobago in the West Indies. Tobago, a peaceful yet beautiful and lively Island forming
part of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago and close to
neighbouring Islands, Grenada and Barbados.
Tobago is underneath the hurricane belt and therefore has not
seen any vast hurricane damage since the 1960’s. Mirage The largest and
most luxurious villa is situated in a large garden with its own
swimming pool, BBQ & seating areas together with access onto the
white sanded, Courland Bay Beach.
The villa is blessed with extensive views over the Caribbean
Sea from its large, fully furnished verandas and the sunsets are not
to be missed in the evenings. The villa has 6
double bedrooms; comprising 4 double and 2 twin; each with its own
en-suite/bathroom facilities, therefore, sleeping a maximum of 12
persons. The ground
floor entrance hall leads into a large living/dining area and
provides access into a study, kitchen and cloakroom together with 2
bedrooms. The sweeping,
marble staircase leads up to a large landing area where 3 further
bedrooms are accessed; one with its own lounge and large balcony;
and a further study. The
remaining 2 bedrooms on the first floor have their own smaller
balcony areas. From the ground
floor a further staircase leads to the lower ground floor area
access is gained into a large family area incorporating seating, TV,
gym equipment, pool table and access into a twin bedroom.
Laundry facilities are also located on the lower ground floor
together with a self contained apartment occupied by our villa
Manager. The gardens are
fully landscaped with a purpose built BBQ and covered gazebo with
seating. The large
swimming pool is provided with its own external shower and foot
bath. A gate from the
rear garden leads to steps down to the sandy beach and warm
Caribbean Sea. Bougainvillea
& Hibiscus
There are 2 further
villas adjacent to each other; Bougainvillea
& Hibiscus. Each
of these villas is identical and both are fully furnished to a very
good standard. The
villas comprise of 2 double rooms and 2 twin rooms each, sleeping a
maximum of 8 per unit.There are 2
lounge areas, one on each floor, within the villas together with a
beautiful gazebo lounge on the first floor balcony where a stunning
view is promised. Each villa has its
own swimming pool, patio and garden areas together with purpose
built BBQ. All of the villas
have air conditioned bedrooms and study areas.
They are all provided with linen, towels and beach towels and
Mirage is also provided with towelling dressing gowns.
Maid service is 6 days a week, 9am until 2pm and a cook can
be arranged at additional cost for some evening meals should this be
required; otherwise all of our villas are rented on a self catering
basis. The villas are
situated approximately 20 minutes from Crown Point Airport and are
within 5 & 10 minutes of both Mount Irvine and The Hilton golf
clubs. The villas do
not suffer from aircraft noise. Within
the vicinity, horse riding, scuba diving, snorkelling, water sports,
golf, tours etc are available and our on site Manager is always
available to assist in this respect. All of the villas
are available to rent at all times during the year. A 25% deposit is required to secure a villa at the time of
booking with full payment due 2 months prior to arrival.

Any one, two or all three of these villas can be used for weddings. The managers are a UK based company who can arrange everything for you. The option of holding a wedding or other celebration is provided at Mirage and together with Bougainvillea & Hibiscus, accommodation can be arranged for a maximum 28 persons. There is a maximum 60 person limit to the attendance of guests on the day of the celebration. Catering, flowers, minister/registrar, music, photographer, videographer & cake etc. can all be arranged at additional cost to the hire charge for a celebration at the villa. Castara
Retreats Lodges,
Castara Fisherman’s
was originally a fisherman’s shack, now lovingly renovated and
extended within a romantic Caribbean structure, with one bedroom,
living room , and a
large covered deck area with spectacular views of the bay.
Two haiku style wooden lodges have recently been completed
which enjoy unparalleled views and the sights and sounds of the
ocean, rainforest and village.
Coasthanger has one bedroom, Birdsong has two.
The total floor space is 800 sq ft in the one bedroom lodges
and 1000 sq ft in the two bedroom lodge. All
three lodges are built from local hardwood from sustainable sources,
and are designed to create open, spacious living spaces with
shutters to create more privacy when needed.
They have polished hardwood floors inside, wicker furniture,
discrete lighting and queen sized beds with white bed linen and
frame mosquito net. The owners have paid attention to detail,
providing a roomy hammock in each, well equipped kitchens, floor
ventilator fans and hair dryers.
The emphasis is on simplicity but high quality, and to be in
harmony with the landscape and culture of the island.
All have spacious areas on which to enjoy bird watching, the
sunsets, fire flies and stars at night. Outside
is an acre of gardens with terraces and shady areas from which to
watch birds, the landscape, and the daily rhythms of village life.
Mango trees fringe the gardens with banana and bamboo below,
and citrus, plantain and papaya above.
Flowering shrubs and trees attract humming birds constantly. The
basic principle is looking after yourselves in self catering
accommodation with very good local back up and support, but free
from the constraints and protocols of hotels. Prices
are £135 per night for Fisherman’s Lodge, £145 for Coasthanger

Sunset Reef Villa,
Grafton Beach This villa is only
150 metres from Grafton Beach – great for an early morning dip
with the flying fish and pelicans - and has stunning sea views. Sunset
Reef is a private villa sleeping up to 10 people and has a lovely
swimming pool with a red telephone box as the outside shower! Some of the island's
best restaurants are a short drive away, as are some very good
supermarkets. Just down the road you can buy fresh fish from the
roadside just as the fishermen bring their catch in, then put a few
fish steaks on the BBQ for dinner. Low
