A truly fabulous hotel for a special occasion or just sheer indulgence. Restored to its glorious 1950’s splendour, with modern, and discreet, eco technology - this was a  favourite haunt of movie stars Rita Hayworth and Robert Mitchum (ask the local taxi drivers).

Mount Irvine Bay Hotel & Golf Country Club

This is a beautiful hotel, set amidst an old sugar and coconut plantation and fondly known as the 'Grand Old Lady of Tobago'. It enviably occupies the best location on the island, with a fabulous view of the sunset each night over the Caribbean Sea, and set alongside the holiday homes of the rich and famous. Mount Irvine offers conference hotel standard services and facilities, has a well-known restaurant and championship 18 hole golf course set amongst palm trees and overlooking the sea. The hotel pool is enormous - one of the best on the island and has a lovely swim up bar pool. The staff at this hotel are wonderful, so friendly and typical of Tobagonians. It's a wonderful place to get married or honeymoon. The rooms are large and cool, with mahogany furniture and the most wonderfully comfortable beds. 
 
Just over the road is a tiny but gorgeous beach with little grass parasols and a beach bar that serves terrific gin and tonics. Food served at the beach bar is very reasonably priced, and can be brought to your beach chair on a silver tray if you so please.

There’s a fully stocked watersports hut nearby where you can hire a snorkel and mask to make the most of the fabulous snorkelling just feet away from your beach towel. And if you don't play golf - you can still enjoy the tranquillity and elegance of this lovely hotel.
